AGT News Release
First Victory, How Sweet It Is.
As the field widens, victories are few and far between. The competition that we feel on the course is the only reason the AGT was started and as the events decrease the pressures to win increase. Although only five events have passed, those who have not won a championship yet may be wondering if they will ever taste the sweetness of victory. These are the thoughts that may have had Robert Adams Jr. playing like a PGA pro on Sunday. Robert Adams, better known as Co Commissioner Adams, plays out of The Champions Club of Atlanta and is a product of the Atlanta Country Club in Marietta, GA. Adams, as a young man, had the opportunity to play with a few members of the Love family and even took a handful of lessons from the great Davis Love Jr. Those lessons paid off Sunday when Robert shot a net 68 at The Kemper Open to secure a long over due tour championship. Arriving at Olde Atlanta Club 3 hours before his tee time, Robert prepared himself mentally and physically for the round ahead. All his preparation paid off as he accepts the Kemper Trophy. Issue #3

Highlights of the AGT Kemper Open.
The winner of the closest to the pin was taken by a familiar name. Richard Tate, the Atlanta Classic Champion fires at the pin with laser point accuracy to show the field that he is working his way back to the top of the field. Shortly after his win at River Pines, Richards putting percentage took a nose dive and he is now experimenting with a new cross handed grip. Richard, a little advice babe, keep your iron grip the same.
Does anyone know Chris Trussell? You may hear a lot more of him because Chris won long drive Sunday to introduce himself to the AGT. Chris, give us this opportunity to welcome you.
Note: In issue # 2 we stated that Kyle Gilreaths drive passed Jeff Vallieres monster drive. We erred, Jeff Valliere barely hit his ball off that tee, it was Ken Wilsons monster drive. Our apologies Ken.
