The AGC would like to thank each member for participating in our Masters tournament at Georgia National Golf Club on Saturday, April 10. We also want to extend a warm AGC "Welcome" to our many new members who played in our Tournament. Many thanks to Joe Ingram and the entire Georgia National Staff for their cooperation, and for a great golf course, all of which combined for a great tournament!
Everyone was excited to be playing friendly, tournament golf on a beautiful, warm Spring day. Congratulations to our champion, Derek Hammonds, for a great round of net 67 after a very competitive tournament. We also want to congratulate Chin Park and Mark Ross on their second and third place finishes, respectively. For the first time a prize was awarded for low gross, won by Mackey Steele with a fine 76. Mackey also won the long drive contest with a 244-yard tee shot on the tough 10th hole. Thanks again to everyone who played for making the 1999 Atlanta Golf Club Masters a resounding success!
