Growth is critical in providing better competition for AGC members.

Centennial Golf Club in Acworth was the site of the 1997 Canadian Open, the AGC’s eleventh event of last season. The AGC's 1998 season was re-opened with The Greater Atlanta Open May 23. A handful of last years members were scattered throughout the field however the majority of the players were first timers and the competition was taken to a new level. David Burke of Woodstock, GA had a precarious start off the 1st tee then fell into somewhat of a zone to shoot even par for the day. David's net 68 captured his first AGC victory of the 1998 season and will be the favorite going into next months AGC US Open at Gold Creek Golf Club in Dawsonville, GA.

The AGC’s membership is on the rise thanks to existing members and word of mouth. The long-term commitment the AGC has made to promote growth is critical in providing better competition and prizes for all members. Our club will welcome all golfers who enjoy competing to the final putt while upholding the rules and etiquette of this great game.

Richard Smith sinks a putt for 5 at the 9th.
